Kris Kringle Tree Decoration

Thanks for attending our 🎅 Kris Kringle 🎅 event! There are many ways to make a simple decoration with your child using the materials we gave you! The first step, of course, will be to unpack everything in that little Christmas book box. You will also need a pair of scissors, and reading glasses if you’re like me!

Figure out what shape you want your decoration to be- we did a simple tree shape here. You could do an oval, a star, or a bell!

The twine will start peeling off the wire, so just twist the ends to get it back on and cut off the excess Then, add the decoration using the wire, and wrap some wire around the shape however it suits your mood!

Now all you have to do is use the string to tie one end so you can hang it up!

You can add all kinds of natural materials to your decoration, too:

  • Drill holes through dried acorns and string the wire through the acorns.

  • Make a bird shape and get a small twig and have the bird “sit” on the twig (using the wire to tie the bird to the twig)

If you need more ideas, reach out to us or come out to see our Forest School one day!!
