Oakview Farm Forest School Summer Camp 2026

Join us for a forest and farm immersion program for ages four through ten, rooted in craft, care, and connection.

June 1 - 5   &   June 8 - 12

Forest School Camp Tuition 2026

$250 per week

Includes sibling discount, all materials, snacks from the garden, animal care time, forest adventures, and take home projects!

Welcome to Oakview Farm Forest School Summer Camp: a one or two week journey where children explore how humans craft and nature creates.    The first week invites children into a world of weaving, textiles, and fiber magic, where little hands twist, loop, dye, and create with the colors of the forest.  The second week shifts into the rhythm of the farm, where campers grow, gather, and prepare delicious foods, discovering how seeds become snacks and gardens become feasts!

Each week includes:

• Child-Led Forest Exploration

• Farm Chores

• Art Studio and Maker Spaces

• Cooperative Games

• Rhythmic Transitions

•Mindful and Reflective Gatherings

A $25 deposit per child, per week reserves your spot. (Non‑refundable.)

Optional Tuition Add-Ons

Something special to add to your child's Forest School Camp experience!

$50 Extended Care per week

2-5 P.M. - 15 hours per week of more farm and forest exploration!

Family Farm Art Studio Afternoon (Week 1):  Join us on Friday, June 5th from 2-5 P.M. as we explore the wonderful Art of textiles in our Family Art Studio.   Families move through the Art Studio  stations at their own pace:  simple cordage making; community weaving wall; textile printing; story blanket space, and more!  

Family Farm Harvest Afternoon (Week 2):   On June Friday, June 12th from 2-5 P.M., we welcome families to join their children on the farm for farm-fresh food, music, and family games!     We will have a family "cooking" area, tours of the gardens and animal habitats, sourdough baking demonstrating, and more

June 1 - 5
Weavers of the Woods
Exploring textiles, fibers, patterns, and the interconnectedness of
natural materials.

Day 1 – Threads of the Forest: Discover natural fibers in the forest, explore textures; animal and plant fiber exploration; cordage/rope making and knots. 


Day 2 – Spinning & Twisting: Finger‑twisting, simple spinning and processing fibers (flax, wool, cotton); cordage color mixing


Day 3 – Looms & Patterns: Build your own loom; learn a variety of weaving patterns; weaving storytelling; 


Day 4 – Natural Dyes: Use berries, leaves, soil, and solar dye jars;  sewing and fabric weaving; 


Day 5 – Community Weaving Celebration: Create a collaborative forest tapestry; weaving with branches and found objects

Optional Add On: 

  • Friday Family Art Studio Afternoon ($15/family)

June 8 - 12
Growers & Gatherers
Rooted in farm‑to‑table learning: planting, tending, harvesting, cooking, and celebrating food.

Day 1 – Seeds & Soil: Explore soil layers, plant seeds, learn about root systems, organic fertilizers, and the importance of Nitrogen.

 

Day 2 – Water & Sun: Irrigation play, sun mapping, caring for young plants.

 

Day 3 – Garden Creatures: Worm exploration, pollinator study, beneficial insects.

 

Day 4 – Harvest & Prepare: Gather herbs, veggies, berries; make simple snacks.

 

Day 5 – Farm Feast Friday: Children prepare a small tasting table for families.

Optional Add On:
