Oakview Farm Forest School
Full Day Tutorial for Ages 5-10
Oakview Farm Forest School is guided by an emergent learning and inquiry based learning approach that underpins the core instruction of everything we do. The emergent inquiry based learning approach is holistic, child-centered, and adaptive to meet the needs of diverse learners.
All aspects of children's development are supported through developmentally appropriate learning opportunities that change based on the interests of the children, changes on the farm, and the seasons.
Teachers act as insightful guides to children's learning, setting up nurturing and safe physical, social, and emotional spaces in order to promote high interest and inquiry into learning. Forest School teachers also incorporate increasingly more sophisticated lines of inquiry and exploration in the core subject areas as the year progresses.
Students are provided follow up learning activities that can be used to meet homeschooling requirements. Please note that we do not require these activities be completed as part of our program of study.
